While many people come to mind I am going to select the President of Liberia, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
I was listening to her tonight talk about patience, tenacity, faith, love, women, and truth.
She is just one of many contemporary role models for me.
i dont know but there is something about the way you present your topics...very inspired i try to think about one person and i can not but now you put my brain to work for the next day thanx for bein u HAL!
Braveheart - William Wallace. Even though it's in a movie. Any man that fights that hard for what he believes in, and carries that belief with so much passion, purpose, and persistence, reaches a height that I am still seeking to soar to.
John -
This is inspiring and so well said and well presented.
My inspiration is not so much one specific person, as all of the people who have chosen to be public about their weakensses or challenges, so that they could get help and help others. I don't really like having depression or talking about it, but it feels great to be more public, to admit it, and to say "let's all help each other out with this."
Thanks buddy, you're awesome!

In response to your question, I look to everyone I meet to find something inspiring and admirable about their individual life story. Thank you for sharing your wonderful story! I always look forward to what you're going to do next :)
(Not sure if the last one went through, but...)
Awesome video. I love all the stuff you post; it's always so thoughtful and inspiring. Can't wait for the next one!
What and awesome and totally inspiring video. I always love hearing what you have to say!
Great stuff Halcyon! Keep up the inspiration. In a way, you are a roll model to us all. In other ways, you're just a crazy guy with pink hair!
I love it! You, my dear, are so inspiring. And your connection to your grandfather has always warmed my heart.
*hugs* I am glad you still share about your grandpa. You know that you are making an impact yourself and bringing alot of positive into people's lives. You are awesome.
Hey Halcyon, I caught your latest hugnation and I want to say I appreciate all the work you do, including this show. NBC is lucky to have you!!
Another great episode of FRD. You are doing great work!
Good site, admin.
Cool!!
@Jana
I really enjoyed your blog! (And your company, too). Thanks for sharing!
@slinkerbell
How wonderful to be inspired by your partner that way! I think you are BOTH inspiring.
Just found this web series. Great idea! I have a shirt that says, "Who inspires you?" and I love the answers I get.
Whenever I have fears in the business world, I think about my heroes. I wrote a post a couple of years ago about my business hero, Herb Kelleher. The synopsis: Southwest has the same feeling and spirit that Ben & Jerry’s [ice cream] did, and Southwest is an AIRLINE… stodgy, old, grumpy, set in their ways, competitive, etc.
Amazing what he's done, and continues to do!
The full post is on my blog, Life on a Shirt.
Thanks, John. Keep up the inspiring work!
well said!
someone who inspires me to greatness is my husband - when he says he is going to do something, he does it with all his heart 100%. it's so inspiring especially because i tend to have big dreams and ideas, but a hard time carrying them out.
this is a great topic - i was just sharing with my dad about Grandpa Caleb on easter sunday. what an amazing man! the lesson you've taken from that photo is profound and important; we ALL have the capacity for greatness and to do great things! amen!
